THE PROGRAM:

Introducing the Mont Blanc mountaineering tour, an exciting 4-day adventure designed for hikers and first-time climbers, families, and groups of friends who are passionate about the mountains and want to take their enthusiasm one step further. With the guidance of a local IFMGA-certified Mountain Guide, you will experience the unique mountaineering and natural environment that the Mont Blanc range is famous for.

 

Glacier progression and climbing on Mont Blanc

This program is a full immersion in the mountaineering world: during the 4 days you will experience rock climbing and rock passages, glacier progression, use of ice axe and crampons, as well as the main safety concepts. You do not need to have previous experience; on the contrary, this is an ideal tour to prepare yourself for more difficult climbs in the future. For example, after this tour you will be ready for the ascent of Gran Paradiso from the Normal Route, or the Spaghetti Tour in Monte Rosa. Also, this is the first step on the journey to the ascent of Mont Blanc from the Goûter Route.

 

Our accommodations: the Monzino and Torino refuges 

We will spend two nights at the Monzino Hut and one night at the Torino Hut. All overnights stay are with half board formula, which means breakfast and dinner included. Also, we will take care of all the reservations, you won’t have to worry about anything. Of course, all included in the rate.

  • the assistance of a UIAGM/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide

Mont Blanc Mountaineering Tour for beginner ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Meeting point: meeting with the guide in Courmayeur, Italy, near the helicopter station (free parking) at 9.30 am.

  • Briefing and transfer by car to Val Veny, where we start our Mont Blanc tour.
  • Approach to Rifugio Monzino via a hiking trail and easy via ferrata.
  • Briefing with the guide: technical workshop and exercises with rope.
  • Dinner and overnight at the refuge.

  • Breakfast at the refuge.
  • Easy hike with some rocky passages.
  • Climbing training.
  • Picnic lunch.
  • Return to Rifugio Monzino.
  • Dinner and overnight at the refuge.

  • Breakfast at the refuge.
  • Hiking down to Courmayeur.
  • Lunch and short break.
  • Transfer by car to Skyway Mont Blanc cable car (Courmayeur).
  • Go up to Torino refuge with the last gondola.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge.

  • Breakfast at the refuge.
  • Hiking on the Géant glacier: practice with crampons and rope.
  • Easy hike to Col d’Entrèves or Col de Géant and back to the refuge.
  • Debriefing with lunch and celebratory drinks on the panoramic terrace.
  • Cable car down to Courmayeur parking area.
  • End of the Mont Blanc climbing tour and final greetings.
