I was born in Magenta, near Milan, where I lived until I moved to Aosta, at the age of five. As a kid, my beloved mountain bike was my constant companion, for great adventures in open nartural spaces. My love for the mountains developed gradually, first with short hikes to mountain huts or lakes. Then came the peaks, and their unforgettable views sparkled my passion. Looking at the world from the top of a mountain you reached only with your strength gives you a great sense of freedom and inner balance. It is a feeling that I cannot do without any more. I love exploring and looking for new challenges and experiences to share with the people who trust me and ask me to accompany them as Guide. I have two children, twins, Gaia and Samuel. I hope, somehow, to pass on my passion for the mountains to them. I started promoting Peakshunter Mountain Guides brand in 2015, after qualifying as a IFMGA Mountain Guide. It started in 2012 as a website and a blog for publishing mountaineering photos. From 2013, with the input of my partner Silvia and the support from friends and colleagues, it soon became the ambitious project of a close-knit team of certified Mountain Guides, specializing in alpine activities and outdoor adventures.

Mountain peaks and pastures have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, especially those of Valpelline, off the main Aosta Valley. I was a forest ranger there for fifteen years, but I quit in 1998. Since then I have made my living as a mountain guide, working all over Europe and around the world. I consider myself a traveller, in the sense that the peak, our target, is actually just a pretext. What really matters is the journey! I married Claudia in 2011 and I have two wonderful children, Martino and Clarissa. Over the years, I become interested in security and rescue, specializing as a trainer and instructor in these important fields.

I was born in 1977 near Milan, where I lived and studied until I was 22. My maternal grandparents, who were from Gressoney-Saint-Jean in the Aosta Valley, took me for my first hikes in the mountains when I was only 3. That was the beginning of my love for the mountains, high-altitude climbing and skiing. In the late 90s I left the city and moved to my grandparents’ home town with the idea of leading a healthier life in close contact with nature. In 2009 I began my mountain guide training and earned my IFMGA licence in 2011. I began accompanying climbers, skiers and hikers, trying to convey my personal approach to the mountain: slow and conscious. Now, I live in Cogne, at the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, with my girlfriend Claudia. I love nothing more than spending time in the mountains. It is a form of recreation, but also a spiritual pursuit. I love to savour the taste of adventure and discovery, ever conscious, however, of the importance of safety and having respect for the wilderness.

I have been a mountain guide since 1983. I can trace my passion for mountaineering to the stories my grandfather used to tell me when I was just a young child. He had worked at the Tête Rousse hut on Mont Blanc and, to earn a little more money, would offer his services as a porter, clocking up to twenty-odd climbs every year. I work all over the Alps, but primarily in the Aosta Valley. I find the mountains still inspire me as much today as they did when I was a little boy. I live in Fenis (Aosta), together with my wife Marilia and my daughter Nelly. In my spare time I help to run our small B&B “Chez Gaillard”, welcoming Italian and foreign tourists, who love the mountaineering world.

I was born in Bolzano in 1968, foothills of the Dolomites, where I still live today with my family. Growing up in the mountains of South Tyrol/Südtirol, I discovered the passion for climbing and mountaineering.
Becoming a mountain guide was the natural consequence of a life philosophy that began many years ago, when I first approached climbing in the mountains at home, such as Dolomites and Ortles.
I work as a guide in both summer and winter. I accompany my guests by sharing with them the adventure of a climb, on the Dolomite rock faces or on the great ridges of the 4000’s of the Western Alps.
Without neglecting safety, the success of a climb for me always remains a great challenge!

I was born in the Po Valley (where I still live), although I recently lived for four years in Trentino in the Brenta Dolomites. My passion has always been the mountains. The Grigne are the mountains closest to and dearest to me, the ones that gave me the inspiration and great motivation to transform my devotion to the Highlands into a profession. My first “mountain” experiences were mainly exploratory rather than mountaineering. I have always been attracted to Eastern philosophies: I traveled and walked for long periods in little-known places in the Indian Himalayas, as well as the more well-known ones in Nepal. I have long explored the heart of the largest mountain range in the world. During this period, I was lucky enough to meet a kung fu master: in addition to the art of tai chi, he taught me to know myself first and foremost. Thanks to him I learned to listen to others, giving space and voice to my questions. Starting from these questions, I built my path of personal growth: today this is the philosophy that I try to practice with the people who rely on my accompaniment. After a few years, the passion for mountaineering ascents, climbing and all-round ski mountaineering began which, once again, at the beginning, saw me engaged in extra-European territory confronting myself with amazing glacial walls. After many years of frequenting the Alps in all my free moments, I decided to take the Alpine Guide course in order to transmit the love, respect and passion that have always animated me to those who want to approach this superb, ultimate environment bulwark from which overbuilding and automation are fortunately still distant.

I’m Alessandro Beltrami, born in 1991. Born and raised in Val d’Ossola, north of Piedmont, I currently live in Vogogna, a small medieval village on the border of the Val Grande National Park. Although I have always been surrounded by mountains, it was only after adolescence that they aroused a strong interest in me. Their allure was overwhelming. I became passionate about all the related disciplines and, driven by a great curiosity, I began to deepen the study of itineraries outside my valley, allowing me to make ascents throughout the Alps. This strong passion led me at the age of 30 to undertake the training course to become an Alpine Guide at the Unione Valdostana Alpine Guides of Alta Montagna, where I am currently registered in the Professional Register as Aspiring Alpine Guide n°353.
In addition to carrying out the profession, I am always looking for new adventures, new itineraries to trace and follow whether it is rock climbing, ice climbing, classic or winter mountaineering. The style is clean, climbing for that sense of adventure. I prefer a traditional progression with mobile protections; Friend, nut, and nails. Minimizing the holes for planting the stainless steel fixes. Sometimes this is not possible and despite the help of the drill we always try to keep the orientation towards adventure intact.
I open new tracks because I’m attracted by the line, trying to interpret the best route, putting myself on the line and above all having fun!

Born and raised in nature, where my passion for the mountains and all its naturalistic and geological aspects matured. Lived up to 13 years in a small village in the Twin Mountains where I started my first excursions following the paths traced by local hunters. Today I spend all my free time in the mountains; the practice of hiking, climbing and ski mountaineering allowed me to become an excellent connoisseur mainly of the Abruzzo mountains but also of the Dolomites and the Aosta Valley. Lover of long treks, I am always on the lookout for new paths and wild places. For years now, my passion for the mountains has become my profession, which takes the form of a Medium Mountain Guide and Hiking Instructor. This means being able to best convey the passion and skills that we bring out every day in the mountains. The passion for the mountains and for its discovery is an excellent “pretext” to travel and discover different cultures and shades of our territory and neighboring territories, so similar but so different in the small details that determine their beauty. It often happens that trekking routes end with tastings of typical local products, trying to get to know local people also to give full meaning and value to the same. All combined with healthy and fun physical activity, which contrasts with the frenzy of modern life and for these becomes an even more special moment of self-discovery. My ultimate goal is to experience the mountain to its fullest, with passion and enthusiasm, but also with the necessary technical skills to be able to share with others, so that they can then independently and personally experience the mountains. There are many magical moments to live on the mountains: the silence of one’s breath in the heart of nature, the experience of sharing physical fatigue, the unique emotion of a dawn, the desire for solitude and peace. I have always considered the mountains my real home, a beautiful and borderless place, where be yourself, truly expressing great passions.

Mountains have been my playground ever since childhood: hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing as well as thrilling adventures exploring woods, meadows and rock walls, enjoyed during the long summer days in our mountain house. As a teenager, my attention focused on music: being a vocalist and guitarist, I fully devoted myself to this world and was involved in studio recordings, record productions and concerts around the world. A climbing course with Elis and Silvia rekindled my passion for this dazzling environment: slowly but surely, guitars and amplifiers were replaced by ice axes and skis. My passion for photography was then the icing on the cake. I still work as a sound engineer, though I escape to a mountain top whenever I can, touching rock, ice and snow, capturing pictures of the wild, alluring mountain scenery. In the last year I have join Peakshunter Mountain Guides during many trips on mountains. During these excursions, I have realized beautiful videos and several pictures of their most impressive climbing by using camera on drones.
