PROGRAM

A journey through the history of mountaineering, where the Italians were the protagonists. The unforgettable experience of hiking in a wonderful valley of the Pakistani Karakoram, where everything is huge and superb!
From Islamabad, we reach Skardu: 2 days by bus, initially on the Karakoram Highway, the legendary road through majestic landscapes, then before Skardu, along a narrow winding road, with frequent crossing of small rivers and streams.
Askole is reached by Jeep. In the last village of the Valley, it is not unusual to meet elderly men who claim to have taken part in the expedition that conquered K2.
From Askole starts the trek to Paju, the last oasis of greenery before ascending to the well-known Baltoro glacier, through a trail sometimes wild.
Khuburtse, Urdukas and Gore II are the intermediate camps on Baltoro: going from one to the other we will admire the walls of the Mustagh, Trango and Nameless Towers, while the arrival at Camp Concordia will be framed in the landscape of Gasherbrum IV illuminated by the setting sun.
The arrival at the Base camp of K2 will mark the highlight of the trek and thrill of being in a place full of history will overwhelm the mind. Before returning to Concordia we will give our tribute to the memories of the many climbers who here have lost their lives trying to achieve their dreams.
This wonderful trek, so rich in history and wonderful landscapes, will give you the opportunity of travelling in an extraordinary place, and of discovering yourself.
