THE PROGRAM:

The proposed training offer is aimed at different types of mountain enthusiasts:
– mountaineers with some experience in the field in previous peaks of low or medium difficulty
– beginners and novices who for the first time approach to mountaineering in winter mood

The course takes place in the winter season, to allow adequate preparation for the classic summer mountaineering climbs in autonomy and safety. The didactic activity involves teaching, through theoretical, practical and fundamental mountaineering techniques, necessary to safely tackle mountain climbs on easy snowy/mixed terrain. The training program takes place in Lombardia region (Grigne mountains area), on mixed mountaineering and climbing itineraries of moderate difficulty.
The course aims to provide theoretical notions to be experimented in the field, through practical exercises: how to tie yourself up, how to protect yourself and implement the correct safety procedures, which techniques to use in climbing rope with crampons and ice ax, hints of nodology, etc. The aim of the course is to prepare participants in the management of risks related to safety in the mountains and make them autonomous on mountaineering terrain in the winter. The course is aimed at basic level didactic training, but it can be adapted to the technical skills and training needs of the participants.
