Training on Mont Blanc glacier

The perfect training day for those who have little to no experience in mountaineering and want to climb their first 4.000m.

PROGRAM

This day on the glacier is dedicated to beginners in mountaineering who have little or any previous experience in a mountaineering environment and, above all, for those who have never been on a glacier.

The training program is particularly suitable for those who need to best prepare for their first mountaineering trip, such as the Gran Paradiso, the Capanna Margherita or the Breithorn.
It is also very useful to have a review of the ascent and descent technique before the ascent of Mont Blanc

Thanks to the support of a Guide, it is perfect for practices in high altitude with crampons on snowy slopes. The training will help you to acquire greater confidence and improve skills in progression techniques on the glacier with rope, crampons and ice axe, moreover to test the physical response to altitude. This will allow, consequently, to increase the possibility of success in a consequent mountaineering ascent of a 4,000m peak, guaranteeing greater chances of reaching the summit and helping to acclimatize at high altitudes.

In case you are training for a more demanding mountaineering trip, with higher technical difficulties, a part of the day will be dedicated to training on mixed terrains (easy rock ridge) or on equipped trails.

note: in case of bad weather or non-optimal conditions, the training could be moved to Cervinia (AO).
