PROGRAM
Enjoy the finest freeride skiing and most jaw-dropping scenery the Aosta Valley has to offer as we explore the exciting slopes of the region’s best ski resorts. A comprehensive system of lifts and cable cars makes it easy to reach altitudes over 2,500 m – even as high as 3,000 m – where we will find a variety of options for skiers of all levels and abilities.
Naturally, the choice of slopes is vast: the great plateaus and gullies of the upper reaches soon give way to fairy-tale sweeps of immaculate snow, enchanted woods and twisting trails that wind along the lower slopes back to the groomed pistes and the lift facilities, which are waiting to take you to new locations in the hunt for the finest powder!
The choice is yours, from an introduction to freeride skiing to excursions offering technical and environmental challenges to stretch more experienced and even expert skiers. You can even avoid the ski lifts and combine downhill runs with uphill climbs using climbing skins, for the ultimate satisfaction of conquering the slopes entirely under your own steam.
Meeting point: 8.30 a.m. at the ticket office at your chosen location. After an equipment check and a short briefing to decide on the best route for the day, it’ll be time to set off.
Depending on where you are staying, you may wish to keep to one resort (or valley, or region). Otherwise, you can explore other areas of the Aosta Valley where the snow might be better.
WE OFFER SHORT TRAINING SESSIONS IN AVALANCHE SELF RESCUE, WITH BASIC INSTRUCTION IN THE USE OF AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVERS
