The descent develops through the spectacular glacier that goes down from the Mont Blanc to Chamonix. The height difference is really impressive: 2,438 meters for one of the most beautiful slopes in the Alps. A splendid backcountry route from Courmayeur to Chamonix, along imposing landscapes and impressive views.
The Vallée Blanche offers several descent alternatives (at least 7!) as well as a number of skiing routes which can be included in more challenging tours. The classic descent remains one of the most meaningful experiences for those coming from the world of skiing on the track or ski mountaineering. Peaks of red-orange rock alternate with ice towers. Ephemeral towers that plunge into seracs you turn to in awe as you pass by. The view changes at every turn, giving you glimpses of the mountains that marked the history of mountaineering. Form the Grand Capucin to the Jorasses, from Mont Maudit to the Aiguille de Chamonix: a truly unforgettable experience to live alone or in a group.
