Start your Hiking on Mont Blanc glacier adventure and discover a safe introduction to glacier travel with expert mountain guides.
During summer, use crampons for stability; however, in winter, snowshoes are provided for your Mont Blanc glacier hike.
With the Skyway cable car, access is easy, so you can enjoy your guided hike on Mont Blanc glacier all year. This program introduces beginners to essential glacier techniques, and therefore it is perfect for those starting mountaineering.
Learn to use rope, crampons, and ice axe while hiking, and consequently build confidence for future Mont Blanc glacier tours.

Hiking on Mont Blanc glacier ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Drop: 200 m
Ascent/descent: 3-4 hours
Meeting point: meeting at 8:00 am at the Skyway cablecar station for equipment check and a short briefing.

Depending on fitness, your Hiking on Mont Blanc glacier may lead to Colle del Gigante, Colle d’Entrèves, or nearby areas.
During the hike, the guide explains geology, glaciology, and weather, so you discover the fascinating alpine environment.
You also practice essential glacier skills: using crampons, rope, and trekking poles while safely hiking on the Géant Glacier.
