Selvaggio Blu – Short ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Meeting at S. Maria Navarrese in the early afternoon. Meeting between participants and guide, equipment check.

Route: Cuile Us ‘Piggius – Portu Pedrosu
Uphill climb: 210 m
Total time: 6 h

From the hotel/B&B we’ll take a 4WD ride to reach Cuile Us ‘Piggius, from where we’ll head towards the sea. With a short and easy climb, we will go past Bacu Tenadili to reach a beautiful cove, Portu Pedrosu. Swim, dinner and camp.

Route: Portu Pedrosu – Cala Goloritzé
Uphill climb: 565 m
Total time: 8 h

We will continue on the plateau overlooking the sea, where the orientation is not easy, up to Punta Iltiera. Here we’ll enter Bacu Sonnuli via a spectacular trail. After another stretch on the edge of the cliffs, we will climb laboriously until Punta Salinas, which offers a splendid panorama of Cala Goloritzé. A descent on gravel and dirt tracks leads to the cove and its amazing aiguille. We will spend the afternoon at the beach and camp here.

Route: Cala Goloritzé – Bacu Mudaloru
Uphill climb: 588 m
Total time: 6 h

One of the two toughest and most beautiful stages! We’ll go up the Boladina canyon, with climbing passages (30 m – IV). Through high altitude trails, dizzying hairpin bends and spectacular passages under caves rich in concretions, we will go along the Bacu Mudaloru until we reach its charming cove. Here we’ll go for a swim and we’ll camp.

Route: Bacu Mudaloru – Cala Biriola
Uphill climb: 400 m
Total time: 6 h

Skirting Baku Mudaloru on its left bank, we will get to the plateau near Ololbizzi. Then, skirting Serra Ovara from the sea side, we will get to Sa Nurca. Hence, three abseiling descents lead first to the wood of Biriola and then to the beautiful beach of the same name. Swim, dinner and camp.

Route: Cala Biriola – Cala Sisine
Uphill climb: 200 m
Total time: 5 h

We continue through the bush of Biriola and Orronnoro and then tackle the rocky ramparts blocking the access to Cala Sisine through ledges and climbs (10 m – IV inf.). From here we will reach Cala Sisine and the end of Selvaggio Blu. It remains only to enjoy a well deserved afternoon at the beach!

Group disbanded after breakfast.
