THE PROGRAM:

Enjoy a full week of climbing in Sardinia, where the Mediterranean atmosphere embraces adventure, relaxation, and discovery.
Each day offers new routes on spectacular limestone crags rising above the turquoise sea, surrounded by the scent of maritime vegetation.
Between climbs, explore golden beaches, ancient caves, and archaeological sites, and taste authentic Sardinian cuisine for a truly complete experience.

This Sardinia climbing holiday combines sport and culture in perfect balance. You’ll climb in world-famous areas such as Cala Gonone, Masua, and Goloritzé, discovering both technical routes and scenic sea-view walls ideal for all levels. Evenings are dedicated to relaxation, sharing stories, and enjoying the island’s warm hospitality.

The itinerary is flexible and can be customized according to your preferences, from multi-pitch climbs to relaxed seaside sessions. Every day is a blend of limestone, sun, and Mediterranean charm.

If you love rock climbing by the sea, we also recommend our climbing trips in San Vito Lo Capo (Sicily) or Finale Ligure, two Italian icons where vertical walls meet the blue horizon.

Climbing in Sardinia ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Meeting point: meeting at Turin or Milan airport.

From Olbia or Cagliari airport, after renting the car, we will reach the site we chose, either spectacular grey limestone or fantastic granite.
As we have a car, we can change locations every day or decide to stay a few days in a crag if it is extremely beautiful.

The first morning will be devoted to the visit of Cagliari‘s historic centre, then we’ll go to the famous Poetto Beach for a swim and transfer to the crags of Cala Fighera. We will find great limestone, with holes and notches with concretions. The wall is not very high but the panorama and some interesting routes make it a worthy stop by.

Transfer to the Dommusnovas area and the caves of San Giovanni. 16 sectors await us with a number of impressive routes on great grey limestone. From drop plates to impressive overhangs on pipes. Really spoilt for choice!

We head to Masua, famous seaside resort dominated by a beautiful sea stack called Pan di Zucchero, that will brighten the view during the climb.
The Castello dell’Iride section just a few minutes from the sea has a superb rock not to be missed for anything in the world. After climbing, a dip in this wonderful sea is a must.

We continue our journey heading to the Canyon of Gutturu Cardaxius where you can climb on walls with holes, concretions, pipes and cracks.
Sections such as Istentales, Piccolo Canyon, and Banana Republic will satisfy any urge to climb. A dip in the nearby and unique Cala Domestica is a must.

We travel to Buggerru and San Nicolò, with their huge golden beach, where we will relax before going inland to the Muro dei Sogni or the amazing Grotta dei Nasi Lunghi, where we will climb massive stalactites.

If the urge to climb remains, we can head to Punta Pilocca where we will find a great grey limestone on slabs or pipes and holes on vertical walls. Time flies and we must hurry back to Cagliari to catch our flight back. There is still plenty to see and experience, and we are left with the desire to return to this wonderful island as soon as possible.
