PROGRAM

The most interesting mountains are to be found along the fjords, their height ranging from 600 to 1200 metres.
Despite their not so considerable height, these mountains are nonetheless superb, if only because you can start skinning up right at sea level. There are endless opportunities for all levels, from easy tours when you savour the landscape, to engaging steep descents, which will make even the most discerning ski tourer or freerider happy.
Accommodation will take place in the characteristic “rorbuer” (oarsman’s hut), typical shelters used by Norwegian fishermen, dotted all round the Lofoten Islands and the Norwegian coast.

DAY

Departure from Milan, Turin, Verona or another airport (according to the participants’ residence) with low cost flights to Evanes (Harstad-Narvik).
Transfer to Evenskjer with a rented car and overnight stay in a rorbuer (fishermen’s huts)

DAY

Transfer to Evanes (Harstad-Narvik) for our flight back to Italy.

NOTE

The 4-day program can be modified according to snow conditions and weather conditions, as well as depending on the technical skills of the participants. The ski-mountaineering itineraries do not present particular technical difficulties (average daily difference between 700-1,000 m), only some short final parts may require the use of crampons or knives (rampant). It also requires a good adaptation to group life and the preparation of daily meals as it will be housed in large houses with common areas.
