THE PROGRAM:

The Freeriding training course by Peakshunter is designed for skiers who want to master powder skiing and off-piste safety.
Over three days, you’ll learn essential freeride techniques to improve control, stability, and awareness in variable snow conditions.

Guided by IFMGA-certified Mountain Guides, you’ll enjoy a hands-on learning experience in the best locations of the Aosta Valley, Courmayeur, Champoluc, and Cervinia.
Each day combines practical sessions, avalanche rescue drills with ARTVA, and freeride descents on pristine snow surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery.
The program adapts to weather conditions and your technical level, ensuring a progressive and personalized learning path.

During the Freeriding training course, you’ll develop key mountain skills: terrain reading, avalanche awareness, and effective line planning.

Freeriding training course ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Meeting point: meeting at 8:30 at the lifts (Courmayeur) for equipment check and a short briefing.

We will start our adventure by skiing the beautiful and long gullies that plough the slopes of the Val Veny. We will spend part of the morning doing search and rescue drills with the avalanche transceiver, in the dedicated field.

Meeting point: meeting at 8:30 at the lifts (Champoluc) for equipment check and a short briefing.

Using skins, we will seek untouched slopes to learn how to tackle a descent in un-groomed snow.

Meeting point: meeting at 8:30 at the lifts (Cervinia) for equipment check and a short briefing.

We will spend the day trying to master the art of off-piste descent on the most beautiful slopes of the resort. We will also learn how to manage the security of the group correctly.
