Climbing in France ASCENT DAY BY DAY

Just beyond the Mont Blanc, great grey Limestone stretches for kilometres, with countless equipped routes. Along the Arve Valley, the eye settles over impressive rocky landscapes, from small cliffs to large vertical walls, stunning in their impressive extension. Although not extremely high and characterized by an approach often very convenient, many of these walls require considerable effort and a good experience with basic climbing techniques.
It is impossible to list all routes, here are the most famous: Tour of Areu, Balme, Croix de Fer, Les Vuardes, Ablon’s cliff, The Mamule, Paroi de Gramusset. These are only some of the proposals. If you have a suggestion, please let us know!
