PROGRAM

The outings will give you hands-on experience with the major ascent techniques in different environmental conditions. Mountain huts will host our theoretical lessons, where you will learn how to plan a mountain hike, how to choose the proper equipment, some basics about snow and information about avalanche self-rescue techniques.
The outings will have a drop between 1,000 m and 1,400 m.
Below is an outline programme.

DAY

Drop: 200 m
Ascent time: 1-2 hours
Meeting point: meeting in Rhemes Notre Dame (AO) for equipment check and briefing.

After parking the car. we head towards the welcoming Benevolo Hut (2,285 m) where we will spend 2 nights.
We will find an area near the hut where to practice using the avalanche transceiver. We will also try and search for one or more people buried in the snow.
