PROGRAM
• The goal of the course is to learn how to tackle medium/high level trips (OS) with safety and autonomy.
• Notions of snow science and snow cover study will be introduced, for a correct tracing of the safest ascent and descent itinerary.
• Avalanche self-rescue techniques will be studied in depth with the use of safety device (transceiver, shovel and probe).
• Advanced climbing techniques, coordination of movements and improvement on difficult snow will be refined.
• Simulations of emergency situations may be proposed in order to refresh the correct use the emergency kit (transceiver, shovel and probe).
• Overnight in mountain huts, rural houses or B&B to appreciate hospitality and welcome also through the typical local cuisine!
• Possibility to tailor the course program by introducing other outdoor activities or guided tours.

- 2 days of lessons dedicated to refresh techniques of the ski mountaineering discipline, improving abilities on steep routes
- dedicated training on ski progression, with a personal plan to reduce time ascent, increasing the altitude gap and the improving the performance under big efforts
- simulations of emergency situations to understand how to use the safety kit (ARTVA, shovel and probe)
- 1 overnight stay in a rural house, B&B or refuge with breakfast and dinner
- 1 overnight stay in a rural house, B&B or refuge with breakfast and dinner for the Mountain Guide
The rate does not include
- research and rescue insurance with UVGAM coverage (recommended): €5 per person for 3 days
- safety personal equipment (ARTVA, shovel, probe and backpack): 60€ per person
- the hiring of any personal equipment (harness, ice axe and crampons): 60€ per person
- transfers from/to the start/end point of the course
- meals not indicated and drinks, except tea and coffee for breakfasts included (participants and Alpine Guide)
- visits and optional activities and extra services due to forced reasons (weather, snow report, general conditions, inability to reach the destination due to unforeseen events or similar)
