THE PROGRAM:

Want to learn how to climb on the rock? The beginners’ sport climbing course right for you! Our Mountain Guides will teach you effective and safe climbing techniques, how to use the climbing gear and the manoeuvres with the rope. You’ll learn to climb on natural rock while having fun and learning through easy and intuitive practical exercises. In just 3 days we will teach you all you need to know to become independent in your climbing. You will also try an ascent as climb leader. You’ll start to climb using the top rope technique, with the rope hanging from a fixed anchor point above the climb, without risk of falling. Then, you will gradually try to progress in your ascent, going over challenging stretches. If you wish, you can also try to climb as a leader.

Topics covered in the course

The concepts related to safety and the proper use of the rope facilitate learning climbing techniques, minimizing the fear of the void and the vertical dimension, enabling you to enjoy the fun and be safe.

  1. Basic climbing techniques: exploiting the centre of mass; proper use of foot; optimal leg hoist; basic legs progression; climbing techniques
  2. Safety chain: maneuvers when resting; use of rope; protection methods; fall factor; progression as climb leader.

The multiplicity and variety of rock walls at our disposal allow us to match the right type of climb to technical topics covered during course.

The day dedicated to the use of the feet technique takes place in a smooth rock cliff, where the grip of the shoe and the proper use of foot push is critical to progress in the climb.

We suggest different crags at each outing. Many of the crags are known to the public. However, we will climb some crags that we equipped ourselves, routes still unknown to the public, “secret places” where to live unforgettable experiences.

The course can also take place while staying in mountain huts or hotels.
