The outings will give you hands-on experience with the major ascent techniques in different environmental conditions. Mountain huts will host our theoretical lessons, where you will learn how to plan a mountain hike, how to choose the proper equipment, some basics about snow and information about avalanche self-rescue techniques.
The outings will have a maximum drop of 800-1,000 m.

Meeting point: meeting in Champoluc (AO) for equipment check and briefing.
An easy track leads us to the homely and welcoming Ferraro hut (2,066 m), where we can enjoy excellent dishes.
On the way up we can learn the basic climbing technique and get familiar with the new tools.

From the friendly Ferraro Hut we head to the Vallone di Verra, in the direction of the famous Mezzalama Hut (3,050 m). To get there we will confront many types of slopes and we will have the opportunity to put into practice what we learned and tried out during the previous days.
We can go back via the same route, or we can choose another one if conditions are favourable.
