Great Saint Bernard ski touring

The Great Saint Bernard Valley, in the middle of Aosta Valley: a paradise for the ski touring passionates!
PHOTOS

PROGRAM

At the border between Switzerland and Italy, the Great Saint Bernard Valley is indeed an amazing location for ski touring.
Join me in this 3-day trip and let’s explore this wonderful setting. A paradise for the ski-touring passionates, in the middle of the Aosta Valley!
I propose two different programs for you to decide.
In fact, the place where we decide to spend the night can shape our trip. If you prefer to spend the nights in a village, we can make Saint Rhémy en Bosses our base. Then each day we will make a different ascent. For example, we can go to the Serena pass, the Grand Saint Bernard pass, Mount Fourchon, Costa Serena, Costa Corleans, Mount Flassin, and there are even more options!

Another option is to spend a night in the famous Grand Saint Bernard Hospice. Check out the detailed program below.

This trip is very special and so interesting because of the follow reasons:
– it’s a very isolated itinerary,
– there are always great snow conditions,
– it’s perfect for people who enjoy adventures away from the crowds, since it’s not touristic!

From the summit, the view takes your breath away and fills your heart: we will take a brief stop for some shots and a sip of hot tea. For the descent, depending on the technical level, we will alternate slightly steep stretches, with easy and fun curves to some more challenging descents. The overnight stay will be in a typical valdotaine hotel, where you can relax in a warm and familiar atmosphere, enjoying local delicacies.
