The beginners trad climbing course is designed for those who want to approach this "leave no trace" style of climbing.

PROGRAM

This beginners course is designed for those who have already experience with crags, and want to get acquainted with the spectacular world of trad, so they can tackle any of the great classic routes.
You will learn the skills you need to climb walls where few or no protections are in place, and you’ll improve your technique on cracks, overhangs and slabs of all shapes and sizes! This course will help you to quickly hone your skills while learning how to place protections and build anchors safely and efficiently.

GROUP DEPARTURES

DAY

We’ll cover issues related to safety and protection, and practise the proper use of friends, tricams and nuts. You will also learn the main jamming techniques required to climb cracks. Then, you will be able to try out these new techniques.

RATES

270 € fee per person with 4 participants
270 € fee per person with 5 participants

The rate includes
  • the assistance of a UIAGM certified Mountain Guide
  • liability insurance
  • loan of shared safety material

The rate does not include
  • research and rescue insurance with UVGAM coverage (recommended): €5 per person for 3 days
  • the Mountain Guide’s expenses (transfers, meals and accommodation) to be covered by participants
  • transfers, meals and accommodation
  • the hiring of any personal equipment (harness and helmet): €10 per person while supplies last
  • anything that is not mentioned under "The rate includes"

  • It is crucial that participants follow all instructions provided by the mountain guides before and during the activities, and that they accept any changes made to the programme in order to guarantee their safety.
  • Fees for lift facilities, transfers and mountain lodges are subject to changes established and applied by the respective owners without any liability attributable to PEAKSHUNTER Mountain Guides.
